Here at the Tontine we have a restaurant, a bistro, bar and lounge within which we serve food and drink. We serve the same menu throughout the Tontine, irrespective of where you are seated. The menu's are very varied and we like to think that there is something for everyone on each menu. The food is fresh and is locally sourced wherever possible and is made all the more enjoyable by our friendly and attentive service.
Our meat is sourced from John Gilmore; fish from both Welch in Newhaven (Edinburgh) and Ross Dougal (Eyemouth(; vegetables from George Anderson (sourced in East Lothian/UK wherever possible) and summer soft fruits from Perthshire. Cheeses from Scotland; diary from Grahams (Lanarkshire) and Eggs from Bonnington farm (Peebles).
The Cask Ale is from Broughton Brewery in Broughton; the 'St Mung'o Lager is from 'West' brewery in Glasgow. Caledonian Best beer uses 100% Scottish Barley. Most of our Whiskys are Scottish and we feature various soft drinks that also have their roots in Scotland, such as Cuddy Bridge Apple Juice which is made in Innerleithen.
The grand and elegant Adam Room restaurant provides an impressive setting for lunch or dinner and is a perfect venue for functions.
The Bistro is vibrant and informal, ideal for families and informal get-togethers.
The Tweeddale Shoot Bar is the place for cocktail parties.
The Callants Lounge with its deep sofas and open coal fire, creates an atmosphere which is warm and comfortable.
The Adam Room and Bistro are available for private parties if required as is the Buchan Room function suite.
